Hello there. Welcome! Grab a chair and have a seat. Stay a while. I’ll get coffee and we can chat. I would like to get to know you and I hope you will want to get to know me. So let me tell you a bit about what brings me here.

Starting off 2018, I found myself a single mother of a 3.5 year old and a 2 year old. I work full time and can barely pay the bills. I’m honestly scared our house will go into forclosure and our lights will be shut off. I am having to learn very quickly to put my Christian faith into practice on a daily basis. I am walking by faith at this moment in time. I am trying my best to give my kids a fulfilling and happy life. And I am also having to tighten up my budget more than I ever dreamed. I mean, two months ago we had housekeepers, ate out all the time, and have way more clothes than we could ever wear.

And so, out of this She Scrimps was born. I would like to document my journey into my new way of life and the things I am rapidly learning. Perhaps what I am learning can help someone else out there? I hope nobody ever finds themselves in my situation, but unfortunately, I believe this is much more common than we all would like to believe. I intend to post a variety of things surrounding the idea of learning to be thrifty, life with littles as a single working mom, and the navigation and transition from a married woman turned separated mom and possibly a divorced mom.
